I have spent 12 years tutoring various school subjects as well as standardized test preparation. My goal as a tutor is to help students come to a full understanding of subjects, and I'm less concerned with students getting right answers. Instead, I let students work through problems themselves, while I sit alongside them and explain concepts. This allows students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, which leads to their eventual independent learning ability. The right answers will come over time, but the learning skills are more important.
